Ladybug Release

Walt Disney World Resort is committed to finding environmental responsible methods of waste management and pest control.   Ladybugs are the cute favorite bug of many children but also benefit gardens by eating other bugs that are damaging to plants.  Disney offers a couple of opportunities for children to participate in a ladybug release. This is great for families who are missing school to go to Disneyworld and will have to write a report about their trip.

Where:  Epcot ~ Innoventions West Pavilion ~ Great American Farm Exhibit

Children can also crawl through the Bug Tunnel and play the Great American Pizza Game at this exhibit. One parent can keep the kids amused here while the other parent (and anyone over the age of 16) can try out a Segway for free at the Segway exhibit in this pavilion. Switch off and take the kids over toTom Morrow 2.0's Playground while the other parent tries the Segway.

When: Every Morning around 11:30 AM - Times are subject to change.

Children may also release ladybugs every day of Epcot's Flower and Garden festival, which is held annually from late April through about the first week of June.   You will want to check the times for this seasonal event.  You many want to check the schedule for a daily “Butterfly Release”.

The “Behind the Seeds” tour offered in Epcot's Land Pavilion is geared mostly towards gardeners but includes children and soften includes a ladybug release.

Ladybug lovers will enjoy the "My Fair Ladybug" poster in the queue for the Disney 3-D movie “Its Tough to Be A Bug ” in the Tree of Life theatre at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

We will be happy to include the ladybug release in your custom Itinerary and Park Plan (IPP)
